Trade Relations with Singapore

Hong Kong and Singapore enjoy a close trading relationship. Bilateral trade between Hong Kong and Singapore increased 15% from HK$213.4 billion in 2006 to HK$245.3 billion in 2007. In 2007, Singapore was Hong Kong's 5th largest trading partner, 5th largest market for domestic exports and 8th largest market for re-exports, and 4th largest source of imports. |

Hong Kong is also an important entrepot for trade between the Mainland of China and Singapore. Re-export of goods of Mainland origin through Hong Kong to Singapore increased by 5% from HK$30.0 billion in 2006 to HK$31.6 billion in 2007. |
