Hong Kong Singapore Business Association Chinese New Year Business Talk in Singapore

With the support of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (HKETO) in Singapore, Hong Kong Singapore Business Association (HSBA) held its Chinese New Year Business Talk on February 28. The event was attended by business leaders, entrepreneurs and members of HSBA.
As part of our continuous effort to engage the business community in Singapore, the Director of the HKETO in Singapore, Mr Wong Chun To, gave an update on Hong Kong's latest efforts in combating the COVID-19 pandemic, including the roll out of vaccination programme and the gradual relaxation of social distancing measures as the pandemic started to ease in the city. Mr Wong took the opportunity to highlight some of the major initiatives of the 2021-22 Budget, such as those on Financial Services, Innovation and Technology as well as Housing and Land Supply.
The business talk also featured Professor Bernard Yeung, Stephen Riady Distinguished Professor in Finance & Strategic Management, National University of Singapore and President of Asian Bureau of Finance & Economic Research, who spoke on “World Economic Trends & Developments in Year 2021”.
