Business forums in Vietnam
Jun 12 - 13, 2025
Singapore ETO was pleased to sponsor and participate in two business forums held in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi respectively, aimed at fostering multi-sectoral exchange and cooperation between the Greater Bay Area (GBA) and Vietnam, and reiterating the advantages of Hong Kong serving as a gateway between the rapidly emerging markets in both places.
At the forum in Ho Chi Minh City, our Director, Mr. Owin Fung, introduced Hong Kong’s robust financial market, including its fintech ecosystem, and emphasised that Hong Kong will continue to play its unique role as a “super-connector” and “super value-adder” for entrepreneurs tapping the vast market. The forum welcomed over 150 senior officials and representatives from local government, associations and businesses, and a 70-member GBA delegation, led by Dr. Jonathan Choi, Chairman of the GBA Entrepreneurs Alliance.
At the Hanoi forum, attended by over 250 delegates, ETO’s Head of Business and Talent Attraction/Investment Promotion, Mr. Melvin Lee, also shared insights about the strengths and competitive advantages of Hong Kong’s fintech sector. The valuable platforms strengthen Vietnam–GBA strategic ties, promote cross-border collaboration, and open new avenues for breakthrough development opportunities between enterprises from both sides.
