Singapore ETO hosts visiting student groups from Hong Kong institutes with industry exposure from Singapore enterprises

June 3 and 8, 2026

Singapore ETO was pleased to host visiting student groups from Hong Kong institutes, with participation by Singapore enterprises, adding valuable industry perspectives and enriching their overall learning experience.

On June 3, our office welcomed a group of 20 students from the Hang Seng University of Hong Kong’s Department of Marketing as part of their study tour in Singapore. In addition to an insightful presentation by our Director, Ms Elsa Hung, on the ETO’s work, the close economic and trade ties between Hong Kong and ASEAN, and the strong people-to-people connections across the regions, the visit featured valuable industry engagement. Mr Stanley Mak, CEO of iSmart Communications, an AI-driven marketing agency in Singapore, shared practical insights and experiences on the latest trends in AI-powered marketing.

On June 8, we hosted another group of 17 students from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) Guangzhou Campus’s MPhil Red Bird Program during their immersion visit. The tour was facilitated by Singapore-based telecommunications company Singtel – the programme’s local cloud, telco, and AI partner. Alongside from learning more about our office, the students gained first-hand exposure to Singapore’s innovation ecosystem and industry practices.

Singapore ETO was pleased to see meaningful interactions taking place during the visits. The participation of Singapore enterprises added a valuable practical dimension to the students’ learning experience. We hope the students gained valuable insights and deepened their understanding of the region.
