Singapore ETO participates in ASEAN Tech Summit 2026 in Manila to promote Hong Kong’s role as ASEAN’s gateway for capital and digital innovation

On 28–29 July 2026, the Singapore ETO and Invest Hong Kong participated in the ASEAN Tech Summit in Manila to highlight Hong Kong being ASEAN’s gateway for capital, digital innovation, and cross-border opportunities.
The event brought together more than 1000 policymakers, regulators, investors, innovators, and technology leaders from across ASEAN for an important exchange on the development of the region’s digital economy. The strong participation reflects the growing momentum behind building a secure, sustainable, inclusive, and borderless digital future.
In her speech, our Director, Ms Elsa Hung, highlighted Hong Kong’s vital roles as an International Financial Centre, innovation hub, and super-connector between ASEAN and the Chinese Mainland and other global markets. With established capital markets, a trusted common law system, robust regulatory frameworks, and a fast-growing innovation ecosystem, Hong Kong offers ASEAN digital enterprises an ideal platform to raise capital, develop digital solutions, and expand internationally.
