Singapore ETO supports Hong Kong Joint-U Alumni Mid-Autumn Festival Dinner 2026

The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Singapore (Singapore ETO) supported the Hong Kong Joint-U Alumni Mid-Autumn Festival Dinner 2026 held in Singapore on September 26. The annual gathering was warmly received by around 160 alumni, family members and guests from the Hong Kong community in Singapore, who came together to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival and renew friendships and connections with Hong Kong.
Speaking at the dinner, Director of the Singapore ETO, Ms Elsa Hung, said she was pleased to see alumni from different Hong Kong universities and generations gathering together in Singapore, with many bringing along their families. She noted that such gatherings not only strengthened bonds within the Hong Kong community, but also helped younger generations living or growing up overseas maintain their connection with and understanding of Hong Kong.
Ms Hung also shared Hong Kong’s latest developments, including the city’s first Five-Year Plan and the 2026 Policy Address. She highlighted Hong Kong’s continued efforts to reinforce its strengths as an international city, attract global talent and accelerate the development of the Northern Metropolis. In particular, she introduced plans to develop three university towns in San Tin, Hung Shui Kiu and Ta Kwu Ling, bringing together education, technology, industry, talent and urban development.
Ms Hung said that Hong Kong alumni working and living in Singapore served as valuable links between the two places. Through their professional networks, experience and connections across different sectors, they could help foster exchanges and bring new ideas, opportunities and partnerships between Hong Kong, Singapore and the wider region.
Singapore ETO as a major sponsor and supporter of the dinner, Ms Hung thanked the organising alumni associations and the organising committee for their dedicated efforts in bringing the Hong Kong community together, as well as the Kowloon Club for its support.
The dinner provided a meaningful platform for Singapore ETO to engage with Hong Kong alumni and their families, strengthen ties with the wider Hong Kong community in Singapore, and share Hong Kong’s latest developments and opportunities.
