Singapore ETO supports Hong Kong pianist Aristo Sham’s Romantic Depth, Modern Brilliance concert in Singapore

April 12, 2026

The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Singapore (Singapore ETO) was pleased to support the Singapore performance of Hong Kong pianist Aristo Sham, the Gold Medallist and Audience Award winner at the 2025 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, at the Esplanade Concert Hall on April 12.

Thanks to the organiser MW-Events, the performance offered Singapore audiences an opportunity to experience Sham’s refined technique, expressive depth and compelling stage presence.

Around 100 guests invited by Singapore ETO, including representatives from the Chinese Embassy in Singapore, the government sector, business associations, academic institutions, cultural organisations, as well as the local Hong Kong community, joined members of the public and attended the concert. A welcome reception was also hosted by the hotel sponsor a day before.

Sham’s artistry, shaped by both Eastern and Western influences, exemplifies Hong Kong’s unique position as an international cultural hub where diverse traditions converge and flourish. His outstanding achievements have brought pride to Hong Kong’s music scene and further underscored the city’s strength in nurturing world-class artistic talent.

Hong Kong has long been a vibrant centre for artistic development and international cultural exchange. Singapore ETO is always proud to showcase outstanding Hong Kong artists on the global stage and will continue to strengthen people-to-people ties through arts and culture.
