Singapore ETO supports Youth Development Commission (YDC) Youth Ambassadors Programme 2026 Exchange Visit to Vietnam

Singapore ETO was pleased to support the Youth Development Commission (YDC) Youth Ambassadors Programme 2026 Exchange Visit to Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), Vietnam from 3 to 7 August.
Led by Mr Clarence Leung, the Under Secretary for Home and Youth Affairs of the HKSAR Government, the delegation of 19 Hong Kong Youth Ambassador (YA) Cadets immersed themselves in an enriching 5-day itinerary across HCMC.
Through diplomatic briefings, business showcases and exchanges as well as youth and community interactions, the delegation gained valuable first-hand insights into China–Vietnam diplomatic relations; Vietnam’s evolving business, innovation, entrepreneurship, university education and community service landscapes; as well as the inspiring expansion journeys of Hong Kong enterprises in Vietnam.

During the visit, our Director, Ms Elsa Hung, shared with the YA Cadets the latest developments in Vietnam and the Singapore ETO’s ongoing efforts to deepen government, business, and people-to-people ties between Hong Kong and Vietnam. She encouraged them to stay curious, open-minded and courageous as they embrace new opportunities across the region.
We hope the insights and connections formed during this trip will continue to inspire these young leaders and foster even stronger bonds between Hong Kong and Vietnam.
